NOGI GRAPPLING
NoGi In Scarborough
No Gi is the alternative arm to traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the Gi. The name “No Gi” literally describes the attire, without the Gi.
This art makes use of many traditional BJJ, wrestling and judo techniques without the reliance on clothing grips. It focuses on grappling techniques that can be applied in situations where the opponent is not wearing a Gi, such as in mixed martial arts (MMA), submission grappling or self-defense scenarios.
The style is generally faster paced than the Gi and is great for building cardio and endurance.
The classes at M1FC is an hour long consisting of techniques, drills and free rolling sessions. It’s catered for all levels from beginners to seasoned/competitive grapplers.
